Sílvia, professora de Literatura numa escola secundária e filha de um militar, escreve as lembranças de um feriado prolongado na casa das amigas Bebel e Marta, nas montanhas. No passado, Marta amou Dinho, filho de um político e viciado em drogas. Separaram-se devido ao aborto de um filho que ele queria. Bebel, dando-lhe apoio, convidou-a para morarem longe dos problemas de São Paulo.
